Chris Bird, CFP

Chris Bird is a tax expert and national lecturer on individual income, corporate income and real estate tax issues. Dynamic and entertaining, Chris makes complex material easy to understand. His background includes over 16 years experience as an IRS agent in Springfield, Illinois serving as a field agent, a branch manager and a training director.

Chris is a Certified Financial Planner, and held an Enrolled Agent Card for more than 20 years. He has been a major contributor to the University of Illinois Tax School Manual and an instructor at their seminars held throughout the state of Illinois.

Chris has presented income tax courses to thousands of CPA’s, attorneys, and enrolled agents nationwide. He has presented preparation courses for the Enrolled Agent Examination throughout the country for many years. And he is a frequent speaker for Professional Tax and Accounting Associations nationwide.

 

Richard C. Walden, CPA

Richard C. Walden is a sole practitioner in Carlinville, Illinois and an author, editor, and lecturer for the Illinois Tax Schools sponsored by the University of Illinois Cooperative Extension Service. He is a regular speaker for tax professionals regarding agricultural tax issues. His clients include many farmers and farm operations and agribusinesses. Prior to entering private practice in 1980, he was a revenue agent with the Internal Revenue Service.

Mr. Walden is a graduate of Blackburn College in Carlinville. He is a director and Chairman of the Board of Carlinville National Bankshares, Inc. and its subsidiary banks, Carlinville National Bank and Palmer Bank. He is also a director of Karmak, Inc., a software provider to the heavy-duty truck parts and truck dealer industries. He also serves as a director for several charitable entities, including the Carlinville Area Hospital and its supporting foundation. He is a member of the Illinois CPA Society, National Association of Tax Professionals, and the American Agricultural Law Association.
