Chris Bird, CFP

Chris Bird is a tax expert and national lecturer on individual income, corporate income and real estate tax issues. Dynamic and entertaining, Chris makes complex material easy to understand. His background includes over 16 years experience as an IRS agent in Springfield, Illinois serving as a field agent, a branch manager and a training director.

Chris is a Certified Financial Planner, and held an Enrolled Agent Card for more than 20 years. He has been a major contributor to the University of Illinois Tax School Manual and an instructor at their seminars held throughout the state of Illinois.

Chris has presented income tax courses to thousands of CPA’s, attorneys, and enrolled agents nationwide. He has presented preparation courses for the Enrolled Agent Examination throughout the country for many years. And he is a frequent speaker for Professional Tax and Accounting Associations nationwide.

Robert W. Jamison, PhD, CPA

Robert W. Jamison, PhD, CPA, is Professor of Accounting at Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana (IUPUI). His principal teaching activities are concentrated in Master’s Degree Taxation Courses. He specializes in taxation of closely held businesses, primarily S corporations. In addition to his university responsibilities, he is the author of the popular S Corporation Taxation published annually by CCH.

He is a contributing author of the Cengage Taxation Series and is a frequent chapter author for the Land Grant University Tax Education Foundation, Inc. National Income Tax Workbook. His professional experience has included employment with Arthur Young, Ernst & Young, San Diego State University, Portland State University, University of Illinois, and Ohio University, where he was Director of the School of Accountancy.

His articles have appeared in Practical Tax Strategies, The Tax Adviser, Journal of Legal Tax Research, Journal of Pass-Through Entities, Journal of Accountancy and various other publications. He received his PhD in Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin. He earned an MBA from Portland State University. He has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from DePauw University.
