About the Speaker Chris Bird, CFP

Chris Bird is a tax expert and national lecturer on individual and corporate income taxes, and real estate issues. His background includes 16 years experience as an IRS agent, in Springfield, Illinois, where he served as a field agent, branch manager, and training director. He is also a faculty member of the REALTOR® Institute programs of Missouri, Illinois, Virginia, West Virginia and Wyoming.

Chris is a Certified Financial Planner, and held an Enrolled Agent Card for more than twenty years. For more than ten years Chris has presented an EA Exam preparation course that has resulted in a successful passing rate of over 90% of his students. He has been a major contributor to the University of Illinois Farm Income Tax School Manual, and an instructor at their seminars held throughout the state of Illinois.

Chris has presented tax courses before thousands of CPA’s, attorneys and enrolled practitioners groups. He is a frequent speaker for Professional Tax and Accounting Associations nationwide.

Included in the seminar price is your choice of either the Individual QuickFinder® or The TaxBook™. These books are invaluable resources for tax professionals during the tax season.

Sorry, we cannot substitute a business reference book for an individual reference book. However, when registering for the seminar you may order copies of either the Business QuickFinder® or The Business TaxBook™.

Your book order will be available for pickup at the seminar. Additional copies of the Individual QuickFinder® or The Individual TaxBook™ are also available.

You may not receive the reference book of your choice if you register after December 21st.

Reference books may not be available at the seminar for walk-in attendees. Their books will be sent via UPS approximately four days after the seminar.

This course enables the participant to stay abreast of new developments in tax law.

Be Prepared for Changes to 2011 Tax Forms

Included with the seminar is an updated workbook with filled-in 2011 forms. The workbook will also include data on the most recent changes that have occurred since the fall seminars.

NOTE: The Fairview Heights seminar will review the changes for both Missouri and Illinois tax forms.

Last Minute Updates to Tax Legislation as we go to print, there are many bills pending that could create tax legislation. We will monitor all activity and provide up-to-date information.

All seminars are prepared to fulfill the continuing education requirements for Certified Public Accountants, Enrolled Agents and Certified Financial Planners.

Written proof of attendance will be provided each day of the seminar. To obtain the credit you must check in each morning and hand in a combined attendance and evaluation sheet prior to leaving. Combined attendance and evaluation sheets will not be accepted after the day of the seminar.

Cancellation Policy

Registration fees will be refunded in full, less a $25 service fee if written notice or confirmed phone cancellation is received on or before 10 business days before the day of the seminar.

If cancellation notice is received 4 to 9 business days before the day of the seminar there will be a $45 service charge.

If notice of cancellation is received 2 to 3 days before the day of the seminar there will be no cash refund; however there will be a $45 service charge and the balance of the fee paid can be applied to a future seminar.

Cancellations will not be accepted on the business day before or the day of the seminar. A colleague may be substituted if you call prior to the date of the seminar.
